Bail Bonds

New York Lien Law provides for the filing of bail bonds as a lien against real estate, which can only be discharged by the Attorney General or District Attorney. See Lien Law §§ 246 ff. Bail bond liens lapse after ten years, unless extended by court order (Lien Law § 248).
