- UNDERWRITING - Supplement to Bulletin NH2020003
The purpose of this bulletin is to supplement the NH Bulletin issued on March 24, 2020, which dealt with temporary authority to perform remote notarization pursuant to Executive Order #11. A copy of that bulletin may be viewed here and shall be read in conjunction with this bulletin.
The above referenced bulletin is supplemented and provides for ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES in order to insure a transaction where documents are notarized pursuant to the Executive Order:
In order to insure, in addition to full compliance with Executive Order #11, you may insure a transaction if:
- The policy amount does not exceed $1,000,000.00. For liabilities above this amount, underwriting approval must be obtained; and
- The issuing agent must verify with the appropriate registry of deeds that the documents will be accepted for recording.
Please note that remote notarization and Remote Online Notarization are different processes with different requirements. The NH Executive Order authorizes the use of remote notarization subject to compliance with specific requirements and does not authorize Remote Online Notarization.
