The Ohio Title Insurance Rating Bureau has approved the following changes to the Promulgated Rates for use in Ohio.  Effective July 15, 2009, the following changes are made: 

The following endorsements have been withdrawn and replaced as follows: 

OH-106 Usury is withdrawn and replaced with ALTA Endorsement 27-06 (Usury) (10/16/08).  The rate remains $250.00

OH-107 Same as Survey Endorsement is withdrawn and replaced with ALTA Endorsement 25-06 (Same as Survey) (10/16/08).  The rate remains 150.00.

OH-107.1 Same as a Portion of Survey is withdrawn and replaced with ALTA Endorsement 25.1-06 (Same as Portion of Survey) (10/16/08).  The rate remains $150.00 

The following amended ALTA Endorsements have been approved for use in Ohio (note that these Endorsements have not been substantially altered):

The following Endorsements have been approved as a NEW FILING: 

ALTA Endorsement 8.2-06 (Commerical Environmental Protection Lien) (10/16/08).  Available for both Owner's and Loan Policy.  Owner's Premium is 10% of the Original Rate with a minimum of $150.00 and maximum of $500.00.   Loan Policy is $250.00.  

ALTA Endorsement 17.2-06 (Utility Access) (10/16/08) which provides coverage for loss or damage sustained by lack of right of access to specified utility services.  Rate charge is $150.00 

ALTA Endorsement 24-06 (Doing Business) (10/16/08).  Rate charge is $250.00 

ALTA Endorsement 25-06 (Same as Survey) (10/16/08).  Rate charge is $150.00 

ALTA Endorsement 25.1-06 (Same as Portion of Survey) (10/16/08).  Rate charge is $150.00 

ALTA Endorsement 26-06 (Subdivision) (10/16/08).  Rate charge is $250.00 

ALTA Endorsement 27-06 (Usury) (10/16/08).  Rate charge is $250.00 

ALTA Endorsement 28-06 (Easement - Damage or Enforced Removal) (10/16/08) (Owner's or Loan) Rate charge is $500.00 

The following rate rule has been amended: 

ER-111 Commercial Foreclosure Commitment Endorsement has been amended to provide that any premium paid in excess of $100.00 shall be credited in full to the rate charge for the title policy issued. 

The updated Ohio Title Insurance Rating Bureau Rate Manual will be posted at www.stgoh.com.  Once the forms become available, we will make the same available in the Houston Forms Department and on our Ohio Website.
