- Form Filing Change and Rate Rule Change
The Louisiana Department of Insurance has approved the new Form and new Rate Rule filing made by LATISSO for the endorsements referenced below. The new Forms and new Rate Rules become effective April 1, 2009, and are as follows:
ALTA Endorsement 8.2-06 (Commerical Environmental Protection Lien) (10/16/08)
This endorsement may be issued only in connection with Loan Policies issued on commercial property to insure the priority of the mortgage lien against existing or subsequently recorded federal or state environmental protection liens, except with respect to environmental protection provided for by certain statutes identified in the endorsement.
LATISSO100 Collateral Mortgage Endorsement (04-01-09)
This endorsement is similar to the ALTA Endorsement 14-06 (Future Advance) but is available only for Collateral Mortgages. The coverage is identical to the Form 14 except that it requires perfection of the security interest in the mortgage by the pledge of the collateral mortgage note. It is filed to accommodate the unique character of the Collateral Mortgage in Louisiana.
LATISSO101 Multiple Indebtedness Mortgage Endorsement (04-01-09)
This endorsement is similar to theALTA Endorsement 14-06 (Future Advance) but is available only for Multiple Indebtedness Mortgages, which is another name used in Louisiana for a Future Advance Mortgage.
