Home Equity Policy Guidelines:

Please see bulletin WI000003 Home EquityPolicy. Additionally, further instructions are available by contacting the Wisconsin State Office. These materials give you the necessary background and underwriting guidance on this new policy form.
Unlike other products, the policy is the initial item issued. There is no commitment. Accordingly, once you have provided the customer the policy (which is prenumbered), a charge is due; and this may prove a marketing hardship for some of you. If it does, please contact me. We are working on the procedures for handling this.
Please note that you must search all the way back for open mortgages, security agreements, UCC's, etc.. You cannot just cite items since the title vesting date.
Please alter the continuation endorsement exemplified on the continuation endorsement available through the Wisconsin State Office.
